'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan is celebrating his 69th birthday and the wishes continue to pour in for the Tamil cinema superstar from all quarters. Likewise, blockbuster filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj extended his wishes to the iconic actor on Tuesday, November 7, while also posting a special photo from his birthday celebration held yesterday in Chennai, which saw several big names from the Tamil film industry, including Bollywood gracing the gala occasion. ISharing his birthday wishes, Lokesh Kanagaraj wrote on X requesting Kamal Haasan to continue to "keep inspiring us forever".

Fans too have been sharing their wishes in Lokesh Kanagaraj's latest post for Kamal Haasan, while expressing their desire to witness the Vikram (2022) duo to collaborate once again soon. It is to be noted that the actor made a voice-only cameo in the hit director's Leo starring 'Thalapathy' Vijay, thereby establishing the events of the film to be a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). With Lokesh Kanagaraj also revealing his plans to wrap up the LCU with Vikram 2 during the promotions of Leo, fans are looking forward to the filmmaker finishing Kaithi 2 with Karthi, a standalone film on Suriya's character Rolex from Kaithi (2019), including the possibility of Leo 2 with Vijay in the future.
At present, Kamal Haasan has a busy film lineup that includes a number of high-profile projects, while he is also shuffling his time hosting Bigg Boss Tamil season 7. Among the films that he is currently working on is Thug Life, which marks his big reunion with acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam after their Nayakan (1987). Kamal Haasan is also teaming up with director H. Vinoth of Nerkonda Paarvai (2019), Valimai (2021), and Thunivu (2022) fame for the tentatively titled KH 233, which will begin principal photography soon. The leading Tamil actor will also be seen in a key role in Telugu superstar Prabhas' big-budget sci-fi film, Kalki 2898-AD, which also stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, among others, and is being directed by Nag Ashwin. On the other hand, Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is basking in the success of Leo, will be joining hands with 'Superstar' Rajinikanth next for the tentatively titled Thalaivar 171, which is expected to roll into production in 2024.
