Two-time National Award-winning Tamil actor Dhanush will be wrapping up 2023 with the release of the highly-anticipated Captain Miller. Directed by Rocky (2021) and Saani Kaayidham (2022) fame Arun Matheswaran and featuring music composed by National Award winner G. V. Prakash Kumar, the upcoming period action drama is scheduled to open in cinemas worldwide on December 15. With expectations high for Captain Miller right from the get-go, director Arun Matheswaran addressed the media at a recent film event in Chennai and spoke about the Dhanush-starrer, including the plans for the film's audio launch.

Speaking about the Captain Miller audio launch and whether it will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Arun Matheswaran said, "It's going to be the call of the producers. Dhanush is a big superstar and fans will definitely come to see him. If the event is held on a big stage, it will be nice and the production has to decide. I feel it will be held on a big stage." Upon being asked about Dhanush's performance in Captain Miller, he stated, "I don't need to say much since everyone is well aware of his acting capabilities."

Arun Matheswaran then spoke about the theme of Captain Miller saying, "It will revolve around the struggle for basic and individual freedom." Sharing that more updates will be out in the days ahead, he also informed that the film will shed light on the slavery that existed in our society during the pre-Independence era and also the enslavement that the British had imposed on us. Captain Miller will see Dhanush sharing screen space with youth sensation Priyanka Arul Mohan, while the supporting cast includes Kannada superstar Dr. Shivarajkumar, who will be seen in a Tamil film after his powerful role in 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Jailer earlier this year. The film also stars Maanagaram actor Sundeep Kishan, Sillu Karuppatti actress Nivedhithaa Sathish, Thunivu villain John Kokken, Merku Thodarchi Malai hero Antony, among others in pivotal roles.
