In an exclusive interview to Galatta.com, Kadal star Gautham Karthik (son of yesteryear star Karthik) revealed that the project is a dream-come-true moment for him. "I never thought, I will get an opportunity like this... words cannot describe that moment when Mani sir selected me to play the lead role in Kadal. He is a fantastic director," he said.
Born in Chennai and brought up in Ooty, Gautham was never in the limelight since his childhood. But when the right opportunity knocked the doors, he was sure in grabbing it. However, the path was not an easy one, Gautham underwent rigorous training in the field of acting, dance, fight and finally learnt the art of riding catamarans from a group of fishermen in Chennai.
