The wait is over for 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's fans everywhere as the much-awaited Jailer second single 'Hukum' composed and sung by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander to the lyrics penned by Super Subu has now been released and is an absolute foot-tapping blast from start to finish. The song is a treat for the ears, with Anirudh once again proving his worth as the most sought-after composer in Tamil cinema. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by the prestigious Sun Pictures banner, Jailer scheduled for a worldwide release in theatres on August 10 will showcase Rajinikanth once again on the big screen after nearly one and a half years when he was last seen in Annaatthe (2019), and the 'Hukum' song video now out is just a preview of the promising action in store up ahead.
Ever since the news of the Jailer second single's release was made by Sun Pictures, the expectations for the 'Hukum' song have been huge, with a mass promo unveiled last week featuring Rajinikanth in action mode and speaking powerful dialogues garnering sensational feedback from his ardent fan following everywhere. The song has come out amidst the staggering response to the first single 'Kaavaalaa', which is currently reigning at the top of the charts. Jailer is the third time Anirudh Ravichander has composed the songs and the background score for a Rajinikanth-starrer after delivering chart-topping hits in Petta (2018) and Darbar (2020), and the composer is also a part of the Tamil superstar's next big film, the tentatively titled Thalaivar 170, to be directed by Jai Bhim fame T. J. Gnanavel under the Lyca Productions banner.
Jailer will see Rajinikanth alongside a massive ensemble star cast that includes Kannada superstar Dr. Shivarajkumar, iconic Malayalam actor Mohanlal, Bollywood star Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, and Yogi Babu cast in pivotal roles, while Taramani and Rocky actor Vasanth Ravi, Maryan antagonist Vinayakan, Pushpa fame Sunil, Mirna Menon, Jaffer Sadiq, Kishore, Billy Muralee, Sugunthan, Karate Karthi, Mithun, Arshad, Marimuthu, Namo Narayana, Rithvik, Ananth, Saravanan, Aranthaangi Nisha, Mahanadi Shankar, and Kalai Arasan will be making appearances as well.
