Lokesh kanagaraj rathna kumar new photo hints at their movie with raghava lawrence leo - Tamil Movie Cinema News

Hit Tamil director Rathna Kumar has posted a photo on his social media pages with blockbuster filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj hinting at their new project. Known best for his films Meyaadha Maan (2017), Aadai (2019), and Gulu Gulu (2022), this new picture with the caption "New Beginnings" and the hug and folded hands emojis, has left fans excited about what they're cooking considering the duo have been frequently collaborating over the years. Although no other details have been shared, it is strongly speculated that the upcoming venture is going to be directed by Rathna, with Lokesh Kanagaraj being a part of the project in the capacity of screenwriter.

Earlier this year, leading actor-producer Raghava Lawrence opened up on doing a film with Rathna Kumar as the director and Lokesh Kanagaraj serving as the screenwriter. Speaking at the Raghava Lawrence fans festival, the Rudhran actor addressed how he wasn't able to be a part of Vikram (2022) starring Kamal Haasan, and said that he had discussed with Lokesh Kanagaraj about doing another film. Raghava Lawrence said, "He (Lokesh Kanagaraj) is doing the story and screenplay for a project, which will be directed by Rathna Kumar, and we are still in discussion." It can be assumed at this stage that the script and screenwriting work on the duo's project has been completed and the official announcement will also likely carry the cast and crew details.

It is to be noted that Rathna Kumar assisted with the dialogues in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Master (2021), while also reuniting with Lokesh Kanagaraj once again for the upcoming Leo, which is scheduled to open in cinemas worldwide on October 19. Fans are now waiting for Vijay's Leo to hit screens as all eyes are on Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rathna Kumar to top their game compared to their work in the Tamil superstar's Master
