'Bollywood Baadshah' Shah Rukh Khan has unveiled the first look of 'Lady Superstar' Nayanthara in Jawan. The global superstar released the first look posters of the leading South Indian actress on social media in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. Sharing Nayanthara's look in Jawan on Twitter, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, "She is the thunder that comes before the storm!" The poster features the Tamil superstar in action mode wearing a black tank top along with combat gear, while sporting black sunglasses, and is a throwback to her look in Ajith Kumar's blockbuster Billa (2007).

No promotional material for Nayanthara was unveiled until the Jawan Prevue dropped last week, with the latest poster focusing completely on the Tamil superstar actress. Reigning in Tamil cinema for nearly two decades since her debut in Ayya (2005), she has dominated the league all these years and is now finally set to make her big Bollywood debut with Jawan releasing worldwide on September 7. Expectations are high for Jawan and Nayanthara too will be a major highlight and USP, especially for Tamil cinema audiences, whose love and admiration for the actress continue to be unmatched.
Apart from Nayanthara, Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan marks the Hindi cinema debut of director Atlee, who will be coming out firing on all cylinders after striking big at the box office with 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Theri (2016), Mersal (2017), and Bigil (2019) in Tamil. Atlee is being joined in his debut by 'Rockstar' composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer GK Vishnu, and editor Ruben, who as well are making their Hindi cinema debut. Jawan also stars National Award-winning Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist, who will be seen in Hindi after his debut in Mumbaikar, the official remake of filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial debut Maanagaram (2017). Furthermore, the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer also includes global sensation Deepika Padukone making a special appearance, with Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Sunil Grover among others cast in pivotal roles.
