International Screenwriting workshop in Chennai

The international workshop and seminar on screenwriting is to be held at IIT Madras from 29th May to 3rd June, 2009. The inaugural ceremony will take place today at 4 p.m. at the IIT Madras ICSR auditorium.

The workshop is the first of its kind in South India and is hosted by Raajkamal Films International. It will include a two day seminar with some of the brightest screenwriters and passionate filmmakers from all over the world.

Kamal Haasan will also join the discussions and participate throughout each session. What more can a upcoming film maker ask for? Getting a chance to interact with legends from our country is reason enough!

French writer Jean Claude Carriere, Olivier Lorelle, Shekar Kapur, K. Balachander, Balu Mahendra, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra, Vishal Bharadwaj, Rituparno Ghosh, Shyamaprasad and Sriram Raghavan will form the panel of speakers on June 2nd and June 3rd.

Also, experts from L.V. Prasad Film and TV Academy, Chennai, the Film and TV Institute, Pune and Whistling Woods, Mumbai will�interact with the audience.
