Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja has created a record of scoring music for more than 1000 films. Director Balki who has helmed Shamitabh stated that this record has to be honored as he is the first person to have done that.
We hear that Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan will be honoring Ilaiyaraaja at a grand event which will be held in Mumbai. The event is likely to take place on January 20. However, the official venue and date will be announced later. It is said that Amitabh Bachchan himself is inviting celebrities personally.
At the event, Ilaiyaraaja will be performing a special number from Shamitabh and will be re-producing some of his famous background scores.
