IFFI 2009 at Goa: Om Puri
The biography of veteran actor Om Puri, penned by his wife Nandita Puri, was released at a press conference near the Inox Courtyard by Amitabh Bachcan.
In a candid chat with the media, Om Puri said that the book 'Unlikely Hero:Om Puri'� has been written in an objective and honest manner. "No details were hidden to make the book a complete life story in my four decades of acting. The book showcases my strengths and also weaknesses. Who else but my wife�could�mention those?" said this actor par excellence.
Along with the minutest details of Om Puri's personal life, the working of the film industry has also come into focus. "The book talks of my love affairs, paying glowing tributes to my teachers while dwelling into my rag-picking days and the hectic load in the film industry."
A journalist, Nandita said that it took two years for her to work on the concept of the book. "It was no mean task to cover 60 years of my husband's life," said Nandita with a glint in her eyes.
