Happy Birthday, Adnan Sami!
For years, singer-performer Adnan Sami wooed us not only with his charismatic voice but also with his bubbly looks. This British-born singer, musician, pianist, actor and composer of Pakistani origin celebrates his birthday today. Adnan Sami began playing the piano since he was five and became the first person to play Indian classical music on the electric piano. In 2000, Sami teamed up with legendary singer Asha Bhosle to release a collection of love songs named 'Kabhi to Nazar Milao', which became an instant hit and topped the chart for many weeks. He soon became a sensation which led film maker Boney Kapoor to choose him as music director for his film.
He has also worked with music directors A.R. Rahman, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Devi Sri Prasad and M.M. Keeravani in Tamil and Telugu films. Know for merging classical and western music, his latest film music composition is for Shaurya (2008).
