The television industry has evolved and taken huge strides ever since cable TV was introduced in the early 90s, with many private channels coming to the fore. Since then, there have been many who after their appearances on TV programs, have gone on to become household names and one among them is popular VJ Girija Sri, who was first introduced to viewers on the Jaya TV show, Thaai Mannin Samigal. 

Soon after her entry to television, Girija then appeared on a TV show called Samayal Manthiram, which fetched her a huge fan following. Telecast on Captain TV, Samayal Manthiram shown at nights became a big success following which Girija Sri hosted a new show called Antharangam. It was through Antharangam that Girija's fame shot up overnight as she became a youth heart-throb in quick time. With Antharangam getting top TRP ratings, Girija soon became a leading VJ on the television circuit. 

Girija Sri has since her days on television moved to the digital space and launched her own YouTube channel called Redha. Quite popular on social media as well, Girija has a large follower count on her Instagram and Facebook pages and often discusses the various makeup and dieting tutorials on her YouTube page. Known to be highly-attentive to the latest diet and makeup trends, Girija often performs makeup on others and posts the videos on her social media pages, including pictures of herself from photo shoots that receive a huge amount of feedback. 

On Saturday, Girija Sri took to her social media pages to drop the massive announcement that she is set to tie the knot and enter wedlock soon. Sharing a picture of herself being carried by a person, we don't get to see the individual's face as his back is facing the viewers, with Girija gleefully smiling in joy. As of now, there are no details on who the groom is, but a hashtag Girija shared mentions the name Muthu Raj, with many now speculating that it could be the name of the person carrying Girija.
