Gautham Karthik will be sporting a desi look--clad in a typical white shirt and dhoti--for his action drama Muthuramalingam. In the film, the young hunk will be paired opposite Kathakali girl Catherine Tresa under the direction of Rajadurai. Another highlighting factor is that veteran lyricist Panchu Arunachalam teams up with maestro Ilaiyaraaja almost after two decades in this flick. Set in Madurai, the film not based on Muthuramalingam Thevar. "It is a story of a boy named Muthuramalingam — his trials and tribulations. I had to prepare myself a lot for this role — from my body language and stance to perfecting the Madurai slang, and learning Silambam," Gautham was quoted saying.
