It was recently being speculated that there was a possibility of one of Mollywood's top actors, Fahadh Fazil being roped in to play the lead along with Dhanush in a film, by Vetrimaaran. But the actor has denied any such project with Dhanush and Vetrimaran. He said that Vetrimaaran did call him after watching his recently released Annayaum Rasoolum, but he had no clue of such a project.
