Dhanush is easily one of the most established actors in the Indian film fraternity. He has made a name for himself in the Tamil industry with back-to-back hits with a career span of 20 years. He did not stop there and made his way into Bollywood as well where he has churned out two films, both with Aanand L. Rai - 2013's Raanjhana and 2021's Atrangi Re. 

His contribution to these industries has made him a well-known face among the Indian audience as well as various celebrities. He has been lauded by many Bollywood actors for the versatile performance that he gives in his movies. Joining the bandwagon is Kareena Kapoor Khan, who in a recent interview praised the actor. She said, "Dhanush is so amazing and like, what an actor. Every time you see him in any role, I think his performance is of another level".

Dhanush has not only stopped making his mark in India but has taken it overseas as well. He starred in his first international film with the 2018 adventure comedy film The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir. He also made his big Hollywood debut recently with the film The Gray Man directed by the Russo Brother in which he plays the role of an assassin named Avik San. He acted alongside Hollywood biggies such as Chris Evans, Ana De Armas and Ryan Gosling with the latter praising Dhanush for his performance in the film. Dhanush is now getting ready to enter the Telugu film industry as well with the bilingual film Sir (Vaathi in Tamil). 

On the work front, Dhanush has a couple of films in his kitty and is currently awaiting their release. He has Thiruchitrambalam which is scheduled to release theatrically on 18 August 2022. He also has the film Naane Varuven directed by his brother Selvaraghavan and the period film Captain Miller directed by Arun Matheswaran of Saani Kaayidham fame.
