Director Pradeep Ranganathan who made his debut in Tamil cinema with Jayam Ravi's blockbuster hit, Comali, is ready with his second outing which will interestingly mark his debut as an actor. Pradeep will be playing the lead role in this film that will have Ivana of Naachiyar and Hero fame playing the female lead. Dubbing artist Raveena Ravi, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Sathyaraj, and Yogi Babu play important roles in this comedy entertainer that has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The ace composer's songs are expected to play a vital role in attracting the youth audiences.

Earlier this morning (July 4), the title and first look poster of the film was unveiled and it has garnered wide buzz on social media. Pradeep Ranganathan has picked a classic Vijay film title for his second film and here are the details about it. The film has been titled Love Today and it looks to be a wacky comedy entertainer that will focus on relationship complications. Pradeep Ranganathan mentioned in his official social media post that he dedicates this film to his ex-girlfriend who left him. Sharing the first look posters on his social media pages, he wrote, "#LoveToday Thanks to wonderful #Ags ❤️ for this movie. Dedicating this movie to the girl who left me. Wait for it :)".

The first look posters feature Pradeep smoking a cigar and looking at the messages from his girlfriend's mobile phone. The posters are suggestive of the fact that Love Today will be a fun take on today's relationships, catering to the youth audiences.The shooting of Love Today has been completed and the post production works are happening in full swing. The film is expected to release in a month or two. Leading film production house AGS Entertainment has bankrolled this film that has cinematography handled by Dinesh Kumar Purushothaman and editing by Pradeep E Ragav.
