Chiyaan Vikram's Cobra is one of the highly anticipated films of this year and it is touted to showcase the ace actor in a different dimension. Cobra is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu who has movies like Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal to his credit. The film is produced by Lalit Kumar under the banner of 7 Screen Studios on a grand scale. Cobra has music scored by the legendary AR Rahman who has already delivered a chartbuster single song in the form of 'Thumbi Thullal'. The fans are eagerly looking forward to listening to the rest of the songs from the film soon. The film's teaser which released last month opened to positive reception from the fans and film buffs and it kept the viewers intrigued.

The teaser increased the expectations over the film and it also showed us a glimpse of Vikram's several makeovers in the film. Director Ajay Gnanamuthu seems to have got a very interesting and fresh premise that is expected to keep the audience engaged throughout. Meanwhile, the team of Cobra has now flown to Moscow, Russia for a new schedule and it is said that some of the important sequences in the movie will be shot in this schedule. Director Ajay Gnanamuthu and the team have already camped in Moscow and the shoot is expected to begin soon.

Sharing a picture from Moscow on his Instagram story, Ajay posted, "#Cobra Hugeeee Task Ahead". It looks like director Ajay Gnanamuthu and his team have a challenging task ahead, as the temperature in Moscow, Russia, is -18 degree celsius. Majority of the film's shooting has been wrapped up and this is expected to be the final schedule of the film. By completing this Moscow/Russia schedule in the next few days, the shooting of Cobra will come to an end. Reports suggest that the makers are planning to release Cobra in theatres during the summer holidays, probably towards the end of May, but an official confirmation is awaited.

Cobra features KGF sensation Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead, while former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan will be seen as the antagonist. The star cast of Cobra also includes the likes of KS Ravikumar, Anandaraj, Miya George, Roshan Matthew, Mirnalini Ravi, and others.
