Kamal Haasan's magnum opus Vishwaroopam's release has been stayed by the Chennai High Court till January 28 and the final judgement will be given after the judges watch the film on January 26. Following Tamil Nadu government's ban on the film for 15 days, Kamal Haasan appealed to the Chennai High Court to lift the ban imposed. It is now confirmed that Vishwaroopam will not hit the screens tomorrow as planned, disappointing millions of Ulaganayagan fans who had been waiting eagerly to watch the film on the big screen tomorrow.

The 15 days ban by the Tamil Nadu government came after some Muslim organizations demanded a ban on the film as they felt it will hamper social harmony.
