Bommai actor sj suryah says iravaakaalam is time travel film in interview - Tamil Movie Cinema News

S.J. Suryah is a leading director turned actor of the Tamil film industry and his upcoming film is titled Bommai. The long-awaited film has created excitement among fans as it's set to release in theatres on June 16. It is helmed by Radha Mohan and has Priya Bhavani Shankar, Chandini Tamilarasan, and others in important roles. He has also produced the psychological thriller film that has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The actor also has an exciting lineup of films in line including Vishal’s Mark Antony.

The actor and producer of Bommai, S.J. Suryah sat down for an exclusive interview with the national-award-winning film critic Baradwaj Rangan, the editor-in-chief of Galatta Plus. The critic asked how he would handle a situation where a movie gets stuck and is unable to release despite efforts. The actor said “it will be painful but, what I feel is it's waiting for the right time. I believe it happened because of the time and situation. A huge film that was supposed to be ready by 2008 was delayed to 2016. It could have been a huge failure and the director would have felt bad. Then in 2015, it got ready as the technology had developed, that thought did not grow old and became a blockbuster hit. Like that in Iravaakaalam there is time travel." When Baradwaj Rangan asked which film he was talking about S.J. Suryah revealed it was Robot (Enthiran).

S.J. Suryah further said In 2008, it could have been a flop but in 10 years, it evolved and became big. "What I am thinking about Iravaakaalam is that It's a time travel film. Maanaadu has been released and next Mark Antony is coming about time travel and the audience is ready for this kind of story, They are used to it. So, when an emotional film that has time travel is released people will understand it. During Corona people's taste evolved that why they understood Maanaadu. That is what I am talking about, many be it's waiting for a good day and I am seeing the positive side in it." said S.J. Suryah. Watch the interview here:
