Leading actor Ajith Kumar is heading to Bangkok for the next schedule of his Thunivu along with the film's female lead Manju Warrier among others. Videos and photos of the Tamil superstar and the Malayalam actress have gone viral on social media showing them entering the airport and making their way past the security check en route to board their flight. We see Ajith and Manju Warrier being greeted by the airport staff, including a few eager fans, who wished them and the entire Thunivu team the best for the next leg of filming, which is said to be the final schedule.

Being directed by H. Vinoth under blockbuster producer Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects  LLP banner in association with Zee Studios, Thunivu marks the third occasion they are collaborating with Ajith after their Nerkonda Paarvai (2019) and Valimai earlier this year. Touted to be an intense action thriller, the upcoming film's first look was released this week to a rousing response from fans after which the makers surprised everyone with another poster showing the superstar in his new avatar where he is seen sporting a salt n' pepper look, while also wearing an ear stud, with the look becoming a rage among his ardent following.

No official release date has been announced yet for Thunivu, with speculations rife that the film could open in cinemas worldwide towards the end of the year or early 2023, most presumably on the festive occasion of Pongal in January. The film is carrying massive expectations as fans look forward to director H. Vinoth to come up with a flawless script compared to Valimai, which although turned out to be a phenomenal box office success, received mixed reviews. Thunivu marks the first occasion composer Ghibran is churning out the complete music work for an Ajith Kumar film after he was roped in to do the background score in Valimai.
