Bengali television serial actress Tanushree Bhattacharya Bose has welcomed her first child, a baby girl, with her husband Shamik Bose on Wednesday, December 15. According to latest reports, the popular actress and the newborn are keeping well at a private hospital in Kolkata. Tanushree and husband Shamik, who is a director in the Bangla film and television industry, shared the news on social media and posted a representational photo of baby feet on her Instagram page. Congratulatory messages and wishes are pouring in for the couple on Instagram from fans and celebrities among whom include Shruti Das, Prriyam Chakraborty to name a notable few. Tanushree and Shamik met during the shooting of a Bengali TV show a few years back and soon became friends. Their friendship soon blossomed into love and the two later tied the knot a few years back. On the work front, Tanushree's last major screen appearance was in the period-drama Bengali serial Rani Rashmoni. She portrayed Goddess Bhabotarini and left the show after she announced her pregnancy. The actress opted to stay at home as she didn't want to take any risks amid the pandemic. As for Shamik, he has directed several popular Bangla shows like Bijaylakshmi Chatterjee and Ranu Pelo Lottery. Shamik is also known in the Bengali TV industry for his work on shows like the Nabanita Das and Rahul Arunadoy Banerjee starrer-Ardhangini and Debi Pakkha to name a notable few.
