Awards for Khushbu and Raadika
Chief Minister Dr. M. Karunanidhi will give away awards for excellence in small screen (for year 2006) at a function to be held in Chennai on 08/08/08. Actresses Khushbu and Raadika, who have been ruling the small screen after their successful stint with the silver screen, will be awarded best actress and best TV serial producer awards respectively.
Technicians working for the small screen will also be honoured by the government.
At the same function, he will also give away cheques to the producers of films which won the government’s subsidy; recently, he had announced a subsidy of Rs. 70 lakhs each to 70 successful low-budget films selected from 2006 and 2007.
The awards ceremony will be held at Kalaivaanar Arangam on 08/08/08 at 5 p.m.
