Actor Arun Vijay, who celebrated his birthday yesterday, insists he had a blast the whole time. The actor, who can't stop smiling thanks to the success of Malai Malai, was the reason for a number of smiles at Udhavum Karangal yesterday morning. “Every year, on my birthday I make it a point to visit Udhavum Karangal and spend time with the kids there. Amongst them is a little girl called Thavasi, who also shares my birthday. Each year, we celebrate the occasion together and it's great to watch how much she has changed. Spending time with the children there is the most alleviating feeling,” gushes the actor who obviously enjoyed his time at Udhavum Karangal.
After breakfasting with the kids, the duty-conscious guy rushed off to the sets of Manja Velu, his next project with director A. Venkatesh. Shooting was taking place at a temple in Thiruindravoor, about 30 km from Chennai. Arun adds that since the shooting was at a temple, he saw it as coincidence – as though he was being blessed by God on his birthday while he was doing what he loved the most – acting!
“At the end of the shoot, the chief technicians – my director A.Venkatesh, cameraman A.Venkatesh and my producer� Dr. N.S. Mohan – surprised me with a huge cake that I cut and celebrated with the entire unit. I was also glad that I could work with such a wonderful team even on my birthday,” exclaims Arun. We hope he has as much fun and joy all year through and even after that!
