Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is an upcoming Tamil musical gangster film directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, written by B. Jeyamohan and produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International. The film stars Silambarasan TR and Siddhi Idnani in lead roles, with Raadhika Sarathkumar, Siddique, Neeraj Madhav, and Aangelina Abraham among others in supporting roles. The film has its music composed by Isaipuyal A. R. Rahman and is scheduled to hit the screens on 15 September 2022.
Speaking of A. R. Rahman, the musical genius recently took to his official Instagram handle and shared a 40 seconds snippet from the film with a new love version of the song Marakkuma Nenjam playing. Along with the post, he also inserted a caption that read, "Have you heard this ? 😍 #vtkaudiolaunch ". Check it out:
The song is very well known as it became an instant favorite among fans and audiences ever since it appeared in the first ever teaser of the film. But this new love version of the song is something that we have never come across so that means we are in luck as with this video it is officially confirmed that we will be getting two versions of the song in Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu.
Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu will mark the third collaboration between Simbu and GVM as they have previously worked together in the 2010 romantic drama Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and the 2016 romantic action thriller film Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada.
This will also mark the seventh collaboration between GVM and A. R. Rahman as they have previously worked together in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, its hindi remake Ekk Deewana Tha, Ye Maaya Chesave, Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo, Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada and the short film Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn which was based on the characters from VTV which was shot during the COVID-19 lockdown in India.
