Ajith Kumar's next big film, the tentatively titled AK 61, kicked off production a few days back and marks the Tamil superstar's reunion with director H. Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor. Announced to be an action-adventure venture, the shooting for the film is progressing at a brisk pace and is jointly being produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP banner in association with Zee Studios. In the midst of the shooting for AK 61, a photo of Ajith is now doing the rounds on social media in which he is seen with popular actor Aadhi Pinisetty, who is known for starring in several notable South Indian blockbuster films, especially in Tamil and Telugu languages.

Aadhi, who became a youth sensation after starring in Mirugam (2007) and Eeram (2009), has since appeared in several big Tamil films like Aravaan (2012), the sports entertainer Vallinam and 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Kochadaiiyaan (2014), including the smash hit Maragadha Naanayam (2017) and U Turn (2018), which also came out in Telugu. Aadhi has also gradually explored his skills and took on roles as the antagonist in Telugu films like AgnyaathavaasiSarrainodu, while also appearing in a pivotal role alongside Ram Charan and Samantha in the blockbuster Rangasthalam and is playing the villain once again in the upcoming Ram Pothineni and Krithi Shetty-starrer The Warriorr directed by N. Lingusamy. The picture of Aadhi meeting Ajith has sparked speculations about whether he is playing a role in AK 61 and an official word is meanwhile awaited from the makers regarding his participation in the upcoming Ajith-starrer. Below is the picture of Ajith and Aadhi:

Ajith, on the other hand, is expected to wrap up filming for AK 61 towards the end of the year with H. Vinoth and cinematographer Nirav Shah marking their third consecutive collaboration with Boney Kapoor after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. After the completion of AK 61, Ajith will begin shooting for his AK 62, which has been planned for a mid-2023 release and will be the actor's first-time teaming up with director Vignesh Shivan and Lyca Productions.
