After a sweet getaway with his long European bike trip, Ajith Kumar has touched down and returned to his home base in Chennai. Numerous pictures and videos of Ajith's arrival at the Chennai airport have gone viral all over social media. As he is walking out in his now iconic full beard that he has sported for AK61, the actor is seen interacting with some fans and airport authorities staff. This goes on to show his selfless nature as he takes time to respect, show and return the love he has received from the people who support him.

With his return, he is expected to continue shooting for his upcoming film which is tentatively titled AK61. This will be the third collaboration between Ajith Kumar, H. Vinoth, and Boney Kapoor as the trio has previously worked together on 2019's Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai which was released earlier this year in February.

The team had already shot the first schedule of shooting continuously for 47 days straight in Hyderabad for AK61. With that being wrapped up now, the second schedule of shooting has commenced in Chennai on June 15. The shooting is going on at Kasimedu in Chennai, Karapakkam on East Coast Road, and Mannivakkam near Vandalur. Some scenes have already been shot at the Ramoji Rao Film City as well.

The film also stars actress Manju Warrier in the lead role. John Kokken of Sarpatta Parambarai fame in which he played the role of Vempuli is also acting in this AK61 film. Actor Veera has also confirmed that he will be acting in AK61. On the technical side of things, Nirav Shah is handling the camera, Ghibran is scoring the music for the film, and stunts are being choreographed by Supreme Sundar.

After finishing the H. Vinoth directorial, Ajith will start shooting for his next film which is tentatively titled AK62. The film is to be directed by Vignesh Shivan and bankrolled by Lyca Productions with Anirudh Ravichander being announced to compose the music for the film.
