Silambarasan TR's Maanaadu is one of the most expected films of this year and it is surely believed to be an important film in the star actor's filmography. Maanaadu is a political drama which is directed by Venkat Prabhu and it is his first collaboration with STR. Produced by Suresh Kamatchi, the film has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Richard M Nathan. Majority of the film's shooting is completed and the makers are left with just one small abroad schedule, which will be completed after the Covid crisis. Maanaadu features SJ Suryah as the antagonist and his face-off against Silambarasan TR is going to be one of the major highlights.

Kalyani Priyadarshan plays the female lead, while the star cast also includes the likes of Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Y Gee Mahendran, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaran, Daniel Annie Pope, Udhayaa, Manoj Bharathiraja, and others. STR will be seen playing the role of Abdul Khaaliq and the movie is expected to showcase him in a completely different dimension. The first single of Maanaadu was initially announced to be released on the day of Ramzan and the fans were eagerly looking forward to it. Unfortunately, director Venkat Prabhu's mother passed away around that time and the first single's release was postponed indefinitely.

Following a patient wait, it looks like the team is now ready to release the song. Yes! Yuvan Shankar Raja took to his official Twitter page this morning (June 3) to inform that the first single from Maanaadu is on the way. Yuvan's tweet read, "Hey tweeps #maanaadu single is coming very soon!! #staysafe #spreadlove #lovemusic @silambarasanTR_ @vp_offl @sureshkamatchi @U1Records". The tweet has gone viral among the fans and this has made them delighted. Yuvan Shankar Raja is known for his successful collaborations with both STR and Venkat Prabhu and it is going to be interesting to see what he has in store for the audience in Maanaadu.

The release date of Maanaadu's first single is expected to be announced in the next few days. For now, check out Yuvan Shankar Raja's latest tweet about the release of Maanaadu's first song here:
