Earlier this week, Thalapathy Vijay left for Georgia for the shooting of his next film and the pictures of him clicked at the Chennai International Airport had gone viral on social media. Vijay's next film, which is tentatively titled Thalapathy 65, will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila fame and has music scored by rockstar Anirudh Ravichander. Vijay had a fantastic start to 2021 with the mega-blockbuster success of Master and the expectations of Thalapathy 65 have reached newer heights. Thalapathy 65 is produced by Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures and when it is Sun Pictures, you need not worry about the film's marketing and promotions.

Having said that, Sun Pictures gave a huge surprise for the fans by releasing a new picture from the shooting spot of Thalapathy 65. The picture was released by the makers during the evening hours of April 9 and it has gone viral among the fans. The picture has come as a delight for the fans and social media is abuzz about it. In this picture, we see director Nelson Dilipkumar having a word with Vijay before the shot and the candid picture is sure to grab the attention of the netizens. However, we don't get to see Vijay's makeover and it looks like that is going to be a suspense. We see a few horses in the background of the picture and the fans have already started to decode the other elements.

It looks like Thalapathy 65 is going to be quite different in terms of its treatment and setting. Director Nelson has got a solid opportunity with Thalapathy 65 and if he manages to pack the film well, he is sure to become one of the most important directors in Tamil cinema. Produced by Sun Pictures, Thalapathy 65 will have Pooja Hegde as the female lead, while VTV Ganesh and Aparna Das play important roles. The rest of the cast are yet to be announced. On the technical side, Thalapathy 65 will have cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, editing by R Nirmal, stunts by Anbariv, and art direction by drk Kiran.

The makers are yet to finalize the release plans, but reports suggest that the film might release for next year's Pongal festival.
