In the beginning of the year it was announced that Allu Aravind's Geetha Arts, along with Haarika and Hassine Creations would be casting Allu Arjun in their next project. Tentatively titled as AA 19, the movie is helmed by Trivikram Srinivas, who Arjun has already collaborated with twice earlier; Julayi and Son of Satyamurthy. Later, the team announced that AA 19 will have S S Thaman's music and will be a Sankaranthi 2020 release. The team has currently, revealed that actor Tabu will now be a part of AA 19's cast. Along with Allu Arjun, Nivetha Pethuraj and Pooja Hegde would also be playing the lead roles. AA 19 also features Navdeep, Sathyaraja, Jayaram, Rajendra Prasad, Brahmaji, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Rahul Ramakrishna and Sushanth would be seen in pivotal roles. Vikram vedha cinematographer P.S Vinod is cranking the lens for this yet to be titled movie.

The first schedule of AA 19 began on the 24th of April and the second schedule on June 5th, where Pooja Hegde joined the crew. A couple of days into the second schedule, the makers of the movie, announced Nivetha Pethuraj being cast.
