Legendary singer S.P.Balasubrahmanyam is currently getting treatment for his COVID-19 infection at MGM Healthcare Hospital in Chennai. The veteran singer’s health condition deteriorated a few days back and ever since then the fans have been praying for his recovery. Leading celebrities and music directors across the country have prayed for the speedy recovery of the veteran singer and let us hope all our prayers get answered in the right way. SPB’s son Charan has been regularly updating about his health condition on a regular basis.

Having said that, MGM Healthcare has now officially released a new statement explaining the current health condition of SPB. In this statement, the management has stated that SPB is still on ventilator and is being monitored by an expert of doctors. It is also stated that SPB is under the support of Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). MGM Heathcare’s official statement read, “Thiru S P Balasubrahmanyam who had been admitted at MGM Healthcare due to COVID-19 continues to be critical and is on ventilator and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The expert medical team treating him is closely monitoring his vital parameters which are satisfactory at this point of time.”.

There will be a mass prayer for SPB tomorrow (August 20) evening at 6 PM and all the leading actors and stalwarts of the industry have requested their fans to take part in this mass prayer from their respective homes. Veteran director Bharathiraja has called Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ilaiyaraaja, A.R.Rahman and others to be a part of this mass gathering from their homes. Bharathiraja has also asked all the fans and well wishers of SPB to join this mass prayer as a mark of love and gratitude.
