Earlier this morning (August 19), The Supreme Court ordered CBI Investigation into actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. Sushant died by suicide on June 14 and the news took the entire nation by shock. Not only that, Sushant's demise created an outrage and discussion on social media among the netizens. The fans doubted about Sushant's suicide and claimed that there is a mystery surrounding his demise. There were also various theories that said that Sushant could have been murdered by a gang of people.

Notably, Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh filed an FIR against actress Rhea Chakraborty who was Sushant's girlfriend. KK Singh filed a complaint against Rhea and 6 others, accusing them of abetting Sushant to commit suicide. Sushant's father reportedly alleged Rhea of 'cheating', 'criminal breach of trust', 'wrongful restraint' and 'abetment of suicide'. There were a lot of twists and turns and new updates regarding the case, but there were no concrete revelations about the mystery behind Sushant's demise and this created a confusion among the fans.

Having said that, Supreme Court's latest order to ask CBI probe into the case has come as a sigh of relief and it has got an overwhelming response across the country. Leading stars like Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra, Kangana Ranaut have also welcomed Supreme Court's decision. Everyone have gotten a ray of hope that the justice will be served in the right manner.

Sushant's family has now issued an official statement, thanking the people of the country for supporting them in this case. Sushant family's official statement read, "We, Sushant's family, thank our friends, well-wishers, media and millions of fans worldwide for their love for Sushant and support for us. We are particularly thankful to Shri Nitish Kumar, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Bihar for setting the wheel of justice in motion. Now that the country's premier investigating agency has taken over, we believe that all those involved in the dastardly crime will be brought to justice. We believe that public trust in institutions is important. Today's development has reaffirmed our faith in India as a robust democracy. We love our country more than ever.".
