Shruti Haasan's bikini picture has also left many speaking for its caption. The actress wrote a fun apology saying she feels sorry for stealing producer Ryan Stephan's lungi. Her caption is as follows: "LIVING IN COLOUR #forafewdaysonly PS- sorry I stole your lungi @ryanivanstephen". Last seen in the Tamil anthology film, Putham Pudhu Kaalai in the Coffee, Anyone? short segment, Shruti Haasan is currently attached to 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi's Laabam being directed by S. P. Jananathan. She will also be sharing screen space in the highly-anticipated Ravi Teja-starrer Krack, in Telugu, which incidentally will mark her reunion with the star after their Balupu in 2013.

Recently, Shruti was at the center of a controversy after her comments about being a part of commercial films in the south, which she stated were misinterpreted as several media outlets conveyed it stating that she had not enjoyed being a part of ventures such as Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh and Allu Arjun's Race Gurram. She clarified that she is proud of her association with both the films and added that being a part of the Telugu and South Indian film industry is a part of her heart. Shruti Haasan is also concentrating on her independent music career and took a break from films not long back to focus more on singing.
