Director turned actor Sasikumar is currently attached to a number of films among which include Rajavamsam, MGR Magan, Kombu Vatcha Singamda, Naa Naa, Udan Pirappe and Pagaivanuku Arulvai. In that light, the first film in that lineup that will be coming out is Rajavamsam, which was announced a few days back to be coming out in theatres on October 1. Directed by debutant KV Kathirvelu under producers TD Rajha and D R Sanjay Kumar's Chendur Film International banner, the makers on Sunday dropped an announcement informing that the film will now have a different release date. It has now been officially announced that Rajavamsam will be hitting screens on October 14 for the Ayudha Pooja festival weekend. Check out the new Rajavamsam release date poster below: 

Rajavamsam is one of the big films Sasikumar is betting his hopes of hitting big at the box office and the festival weekend will no doubt be a boon to the team, who will be looking for family audiences in huge numbers. However, the rural family action drama will have competition in the form of the Vishal and Arya-starrer Enemy and Sundar. C's Aranmanai 3. As for Rajavamsam, the makers will be counting on the film's story, which will be appealing to moviegoers of all ages, with Sasikumar back to stepping into a full-fledged action role. An action-packed trailer for Rajavamsam, which came out earlier this year, received a good response and we can expect promotions to kick-in in the next few days as the film nears its theatrical release date. 

Sasikumar, who plays the role of a software engineer working in an IT firm in Rajavamsam, is paired opposite Nikki Galrani, with the film's supporting cast featuring names like Radha Ravi, Yogi Babu, Sathish, Vijayakumar, Rekha, Sumithra, Nirosha, Raj Kapoor, Manobala, Singam Puli, OAK Sundar, Namo Narayanan, Thambi Ramaiah, Jayaprakash, Chaams among others. The film has music by Sam CS, followed by cinematography by Siddharth Ramaswamy, editing by VJ Sabu Joseph, and art direction by Suresh Kallery.
