'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi has been the talk of the town of late after three of his films - Laabam, Tughlaq Durbar and Annabelle Sethupathi - released in a span of two weeks. The National Award-winning actor, whose upcoming film lineup includes a number of big Tamil projects like the Kamal Haasan and Fahadh Faasil-starrer Vikram under Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction, Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai, Sun Pictures' tentatively titled VJS 46, Vignesh Shivan's Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Seenu Ramasamy's Maamanithan, Venkata Krishna Roghanth's Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir, Kadaisi Vivasayi under Kaaka Muttai fame M. Manikandan's direction, Mughizh with Regina Cassandra, followed by the multilingual silent film Gandhi Talks, 19(1)(a) opposite Nithya Menen in Malayalam and his Bollywood debut Mumbaikar under cinematographer Santosh Sivan's direction, which incidentally is an official remake of Maanagaram

In that light, it was also announced sometime back that Vijay Sethupathi would be making his debut on the digital space in an upcoming web series under the direction of The Family Man duo, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The yet-to-be-titled series will see the Master villain share screen space with leading Bollywood hero Shahid Kapoor and Adanga Maru, Ayogya and Sangathamizhan heroine Raashi Khanna, who also played the female lead in the recently-premiered Tughlaq Durbar. That said, the director duo Raj & DK took to social media on Thursday to drop yet another major casting announcement informing fans that actress Regina Cassandra has joined the upcoming web series. Although not much has been revealed as yet about the web series, it is being stated that it will be a thriller-comedy and will see Vijay Sethupathi and Regina Cassandra coming together after their Mugizh. Regina has carved a niche for herself over the years as a talented performer in films like Rajathandhiram, Maanagaram, including director Selvaraghavan's Nenjam Marappathillai, which came out in theatres earlier this year after a long delay.
