SHOCKING: Popular Tamil producer loses his brother due to Corona Virus!
The outbreak of Coronavirus is getting intense and worse with every single day and the cases are rapidly increasing. The virus infection can attack anyone and everyone and the Government officials have requested the people to stay precautionary and maintain social distancing while going out. As on June 25, Tamil Nadu’s total number of cases stand at 70,977 out of which 39,999 people have recovered and returned to their homes. The death toll in Tamil Nadu stands at 911. Having said that, popular Tamil film producer Dhananjayan lost his elder brother due to this deadly virus today (June 25).
According to the tweet posted by Dhananjayan, his brother was tested positive for the virus, five days back. The deceased is survived by his wife and son, both of whom are also currently under treatment for the virus. Dhananjayan’s brother was 59 years old when he breathed his last. He also requested all his followers to stay safe. He tweeted, “#coronavirus took away my dear elder brother. He was healthy, all of 59 & passed away in just 5 days of infection. His family (wife & son) are tested +Ve & under treatment. While many are coming out of it, few losing their lives. We are in a state of shock. Be safe friends”.
This news has shocked a lot of people in the film industry and notable actors, directors and producers have been sharing their condolence messages on social media. It can be noted that Dhananjayan had recently lost his mother Jagadammal (89) who passed away in the last week of May month. With unfortunate back-to-back losses in his family, we pray that Dhananjayan gets all the strength and positivity to tide over these testing times.
Dhananjayan is a notable producer in Tamil cinema who has bankrolled films like Mr.Chandramouli, Kaatrin Mozhi, etc. Before starting his own company, Dhananjayan worked as an associate producer for UTV Motion Pictures and worked on films like Deivathirumagal, Vettai, Kalakalappu, Mugamoodi, Thaandavam, Naan Sigappu Manithan, Anjaan, Sigaram Thodu, and Irudhi Suttru. He is also the dean and founder of the BOFTA (Blue Ocean Film and Television Academy) Film Institute that functions in Chennai for film aspirants.
