Today (April 11), Amazon Prime Video unveiled the trailer of its upcoming film Oh My Dog. The Amazon Original movie will release on April 21 across India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on its OTT platform and will be made available to watch in Tamil and Telugu. Helmed by Sarov Shanmugam and backed by actors Suriya and Jyothika under their banner 2D Entertainment, the family entertainer promises on being a perfect treat for every kid and pet lover this summer.
From the trailer, it looks like the film follows an emotional story about a kid Arjun and a pup Simba, who he finds. The two begin to share an inseparable bond with one another and win the hearts of people anywhere and everywhere they go. The film stars three generations of a family, real-life grandfather-father-son trio Vijayakumar, Arun Vijay, and Arnav Vijay for the first time on-screen. It also stars Mahima Nambiar and Vinay Rai in pivotal roles.
When asked about the movie, actor and founder of 2D Entertainment, Suriya said, “Oh My Dog is a beautiful story throwing light on the friendship between man and his best friend along with touching upon important values of unconditional love, friendship, and kindness. It’s a film that every family should watch together, especially kids and pet lovers. An emotionally engaging tale like this deserves to travel far and wide, and we are glad that it's premiering globally on Prime Video, all set to entertain children this summer”.
The movie has been co-produced by Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian and S. R. Ramesh Babu of RB Talkies and its music has been provided by composer Nivas K. Prasanna while Gopinath has looked after the cinematography. The film is part of the 4-film deal between the OTT platform and 2D Entertainment.
