Aambala, directed by Sundar C. and starring Vishal and a huge list of popular actors is releasing this Pongal. The teaser and songs of the film have been received well by the fans. All the 6 songs from the album have been declared a hit, including 'Pazhagikalam' which is currently topping the charts and a remix of 'Inbam pongum vennila' from Veerpandiya Kattabomman has also been well received.

Vishal is playing a cop in this movie. He is producing the movie under his home banner Vishal Film Factory. It was widely reported that Khushbu was co- producing the movie, but it has now been declared as a false news by herself.

The actress has written on her social networking page that Aambala is Vishal's production alone and she is not co-producing it.
