Aramm is one of the most important films in Nayanthara's career, which earned both critical acclaim and commercial success and it was praised for its strong content and impactful performance from Nayanthara and others. The film marked the directorial debut of Gopi Nainar who is currently making his second film, Black Town (or Karuppar Nagaram) with Jai, Aishwarya Rajesh and Mahima Nambiar. The acclaimed director is also planning for the sequel of Aramm and having said that, a section of media had recently reported that Keerthy Suresh would replace Nayanthara.

However, when we checked with our sources close to Keerthy Suresh’s team, the news was denied as a baseless rumour and clarified that it was not true. So, it looks like we will have to wait for a few more months to know who will be playing the lead role in Aramm 2. In one of his earlier interviews, Gopi Nainar had told that Aramm 2 will happen only with Nayanthara and no one else.

Apart from Aramm 2 and Black Town, Gopi Nainar is also in talks with Samantha for a new female-centric film. Talking about Keerthy Suresh, the talented actress was recently seen in the direct OTT release film, Penguin, which has opened to mixed reviews from critics and the fans. Up next, Keerthy has quite a few interesting projects in her line up and it includes Annaatthe with Superstar Rajinikanth, Rang De with Nithiin, Miss India (solo lead), and an untitled film with acclaimed director Nagesh Kukunoor.
