Love him or hate him but you just cannot ignore him! Simbu is one of the most talked about actors in Kollywood and in recent times he has been in the news for his involvement or should we say non-involvement in the movie Maanaadu. There was also an announcement that he would be acting in a new movie called Magha Maanaadu, following his moving out of Maanaadu. Then, later there were reports that he would be doing both these movies. However, one thing we know for a fact is that STR is currently working in the Tamil remake of the superhit Kannada movie Mufti. This movie is being bankrolled by KE Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green. In an exclusive interview to Galatta.com, this young producer opened up about STR and this ongoing project.
Recently, there were a lot of rumours doing the rounds that the Tamil remake of Mufti had been dropped. However, Gnanavel Raja has refuted these as just rumours. Talking about this project, he revealed that the first schedule of the project has been completed and that it went on for 18 days. He also said that the team is all set to shoot the second schedule and added that both these schedules will be focussing on STR's character. He further revealed that the First Look poster is ready and that the title for this movie has also been finalised. These are expected to be revealed in a week or so.
Talking further about this movie, which is being helmed by Narthan who directed the original Mufti too, Gnanavel Raja mentioned that there is a huge vacuum amidst STR fans for some good project from him and that these expectations would be satisfied with this movie. He promised that this movie would be perfect for STR fans and that they would see a highly mature performance from their favourite star. He also admitted to being an STR fan himself. This remake would also see Gautham Karthik playing one of the leads.
