Earlier this morning (May 18), actress Kangana Ranaut took to her official Instagram page to inform her fans, followers, and well-wishers that she has recovered from the Covid - 19 virus. On May 8, Kangana had posted that she tested positive for the virus and the news created a huge buzz on social media. Kangana calling Corona as nothing but a small time flu came into criticism by the netizens and her statement received a mixed response. She has now recovered from the infection and has tested negative for the same.

While sharing her thoughts about the recovery, Kangana Ranaut wrote, "Hello everyone today I tested negative for covid, I want to say a lot about how I beat the virus but I am told not to offend fan clubs .... Yes there are actually people out there who get offended if you show disrespect towards the virus .... Anyway thanks for your wishes and love". This news has come as a relief for Kangana's fans across the world and they would now be looking forward to seeing her in action.

On the acting front, Kangana Ranaut will next be seen in Thalaivi which is ready for release. The film was initially supposed to release in theatres on April 23, but due to the severity of the second wave of Covid 19, the release was pushed. Thalaivi, which happens to be the biopic of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, J Jayalalitha, is directed by Vijay and has music scored by GV Prakash. The trailer of the film had received a very good response from the fans. Thalaivi will have a pan Indian release in multiple languages and it is expected to take a good opening at the box office.
