Gautham Karthik will be teaming up with director Badri Venkatesh of Baana Kaathadi and Semma Botha Aagathey fame for a new action drama which will be produced by Positive Print Studios. The announcement regarding this new project was made yesterday (Oct 29) evening on Twitter. Gautham Karthik shared the news by sharing a new video that was suggestive of the mood of the film. We see a knife and bloodstains all around and going by that, it looks like this film will be an action crime thriller. Gautham shared the video and wrote, “Super EXCITED to make another announcement! My next project under the direction of @dirbadri, produced by @positiveprint_ Can't wait to start work with the team! @DoneChannel1 #GauthamBadri #PPS2”.

Details regarding the commencement of the shoot and rest of the cast are yet to be known and further updates are awaited. Recently, Gautham Karthik was announced to be a part of Mani Ratnam’s anthology film, Navarasa that is all set to stream on Netflix platform very soon. He is also acting in the Tamil remake of Mufti that stars him and STR in the lead roles and it is directed by Narthan. Produced by KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green, the shooting of this film is currently put on hold and it is expected to begin soon. The fans are eagerly waiting to see STR and Gautham Karthik share screen space together and it is going to be an exciting project to watch out for.

Gautham Karthik has also acted in the rural comedy drama, Chellapillai, which is directed by debutant Arun Chandhiran. Chellappillai is produced by Esakki Durai's Chandaraa Arts in association with White Line Productions. The Kadal actor is also in discussions with various directors for his upcoming line up of films and we can expect announcements about it in the coming weeks.

On the other hand, director Badri Venkatesh is keenly awaiting the release of his next film, Plan Panni Pannanum which stars Rio Raj and Ramya Nambeesan in the lead roles. This film is planned to have a theatrical release when the situation gets better. As we all know, Rio is currently inside the Bigg Boss house and it is going to be interesting to see how his film is received after the Bigg Boss breakthrough.
