Dhanush's Jagame Thandhiram had a direct digital release on the Netflix platform on June 18 and the film opened to mixed reviews from the critics and general audience. The film released amidst high expectations and phenomenal buzz on social media. The film released over 190 countries in 17 different languages and it was one of the biggest releases for Dhanush. A week after its reelease, Netflix India has officially shared the statistical report of Jagame Thandhiram's performance and it has managed to create several interesting records. According to the official report, Jagame Thandhiram was listed in the Top 10 on Netflix in 12 countries, outside India.

Additionally, the film also bagged the No.1 spot in the Top 10 in 7 countries, including India, Malaysia, UAE, and others. Also, half of the total viewership of Jagame Thandhiram were outside India. This indeed means that Jagame Thandhiram has got a sensational reach among the foreign audience and it is good to see our Tamil film transcending boundaries. There is no doubt that Dhanush is expanding his boundaries as an actor and we will very soon be witnessing him in an English Netflix film, The Gray Man. Jagame Thandhiram proves to be a small teaser to showcase Dhanush's worldwide reach and let us hope this trend continues.
