Earlier today, we had reported the multi-talented Arunraja Kamaraj taking new steps in his career with his directorial debut centered around women’s cricket in India.


The popular singer-songwriter, who penned and songs smash hit songs namely "Neruppu Da" from 'Superstar' Rajinikanth’s Kabali and "Varlaam Varlaam Vaa" in 'Thalapathy' Vijay’s Bairavaa has reportedly begun filming his film, which will reportedly be on the lines of the smash Bollywood sports drama, Chak De India


Having said that, Sivakarthikeyan sometime back today evening took to his Twitter page to share a message with fans saying 24AM Studios producer RD Raja would be making an important announcement.

And, that announcement has now come in the form of Sivakarthikeyan now venturing into a new role in Tamil cinema and this time as a producer for Arunraja Kamaraj’s yet-to-be-titled sports film.

Sivakarthikeyan’s production banner has been named Sivakarthikeyan Productions with the film having a formal pooja today morning at Lalgudi followed by its shooting shortly thereafter with actors Sathyaraj, Aishwarya Rajesh and newcomer Darshan and, Dinesh Krishnan serving as the cinematographer.
