Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital on July 11 after testing positive for Corona virus. A section of media had reported that Amitabh Bachchan has recovered from the illness as he got tested negative for COVID-19 earlier in the day. Just when the news got published on a leading Television channel, Amitabh Bachchan shared the video on his Twitter page and clarified the news as false. He also blamed the media house for being irresponsible. His tweet reads as follows: “This news is incorrect, irresponsible, fake and an incorrigible lie.” The 77-year-old actor is in Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital with COVID-19 - he was admitted on July 11 after he tested positive for the coronavirus. Amitabh Bachchan's son Abhishek was also tested COVID-19 positive and admitted along with his father. Just days after that, Abhishek's wife Aishwarya Rai was admitted to Nanavati Hospital for coronavirus - she was in home isolation before. The couple's only daughter has also been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

Amitabh Bachchan also retweeted a comment posted by his fan named Moses Sapir who accused media for being irresponsible - “This is terrible.. why Indian news posting fake news! It happens so many times that channels in India publish fake news with false information Is there a particular array or factor that oversees it.” He also retweeted another comment made by Jasmine Jani - “That’s playing with someone’s privacy. Why do media play with people’s emotions? Take Care Sir Ji.” Amitabh Bachchan had earlier described his days in the hospital as times of trial and wrote this note: "When you cannot understand my lack and neglect towards response in my times of trial... then I cannot understand your comment.” Amitabh Bachchan witnessed his first digital release when Gulabo Sitabo premiered on Amazon Prime last month. After that, Amitabh Bachchan was shooting for the upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati with proper precautionary measures on sets. Big B also featured in a short film titled Family, which is about the importance of social distancing.
