It was only a while back when National Award-winning actor Vikram was announced to be joining hands with director Ajay Gnanamuthu for a film, tentatively titled Chiyaan 58. The upcoming project is the third film for the filmmaker, who has given hits namely Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal and is set to come out with another thriller and this time with Vikram. With the project revealed to kick off filming from August in light of an April 2020 theatrical release, it has now been officially announced that Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman will be scoring the music in Chiyaan 58.
A joint collaboration of Lalit Kumar’s Seven Screen Studio and Viacom 18 Studios, a casting call was announced a few days back for Chiyaan 58 with the requirement for artistes from all ages including kids. Although not much is known about the film at this point, it is believed it is going to be a high octane thriller and will most likely show Vikram in different shades. The addition of A. R. Rahman in Chiyaan 58 is no doubt massive and will provide a tremendous boost for the value of the film. This will incidentally be the third occasion the Oscar winner will be scoring for a Vikram film after delivering chartbusters songs in Mani Ratnam’s Raavanan and Shankar’s I.
