As reported earlier, the authorities of the newly started Chennai Metro Railways have granted permission to the film industry to shoot movies in the train and the station premises. Though many movie makers approached the officials for shooting, the first film to be filmed in Chennai Metro is to be Saahasam. Directed by the debutante Arun Raj Varma, the film stars Prashanth and Amanda in the lead. Produced by Thiagarajan, Prashanth's father, the film is the remake of Allu Arjun's Telugu super hit film Julayee. It may be recalled that the first look teaser of the film was released by STR, while the grand audio launch of the film was held in Malaysia.
