Up-and-coming actress Shalu Shamu hit headlines when she made a revelation that shook the Tamil film industry as well as fans about a casting couch experience saying a popular film director had called her to sleep with him for a role in Vijay Devarakonda’s film. Shalu Shamu was previously seen in starring roles in films like Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, as Sri Divya's friend, in Tamizhuku En Ondrai Azhuthavum as comedian Sathish's pair, in Amala Paul's Thiruttupayale 2 and a minor supporting role in the recently released Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara starrer, Mr. Local. Shalu Shamu became a social media sensation after a video went viral in which she was seen performing the Salsa dance, which led to a huge following on her social networking forums. Meanwhile, she sat down for an interview with Galatta in which she reveals that she has signed up for two upcoming projects among which include Seema Raja director Ponram’s next film, while adding the venture will prove to be a breakthrough for her from the roles she has usually portrayed. Furthermore, she goes on to talk about Bigg Boss 3 in which she was initially billed to be a participant before eventually being replaced by model turned actress Meera Mitun regarding whom she now states that they had known each other for a three-month period after which Shalu decided to put an end to their association. She also goes on to speak about Meera Mitun’s possible re-entry in Bigg Boss 3 on September 10 as being speculated by many and says that there are high chances the housemates will not be pleased if she indeed does return.
Shalu Shamu states, “I heard that Meera Mitun will be making a re-entry in Bigg Boss 3 once again, which would leave many not quite happy. If she doesn’t return to Bigg Boss, I suppose the people there will feel relieved,”. Meera Mitun, as fans know, has been one of the most controversial names to enter the Bigg Boss house ever since the show’s inception three years back in 2016 and has been a subject of debate among fans for quite a long time over her actions and statements including the tussle of war she has been embroiled in with a popular event manager named Joe Michael and her former manager, Venkat.
