Superstar Mohanlal released a book on the life of veteran actor Madhu, titled 'Vellithirayude Madhavapournami' at a function held in Thiruvananthapuram as part of the 16 International Film Festival Kerala.
The book, written by Vinil Malayilkada and published by Kerala Chalachitra Academy, was handed over to renowned Hindi film actress Shehnaz Anand.
Talking at the function, Mohanlal said: "Madhu Sir is like my elder brother and he has always showered his affections on me. He deserves greater laurels than what have been bestowed on him and I hope they will find their way to him very soon."
“It has been a great pleasure to act with Madhu .We haven’t met for 30 years”, said Anand, who was the heroine of the Hindi film Saat Hindustani, released in 1969, in which Madhu and Amitabh Bachchan were her co-actors.
