Pakistani Beauty Veena Malik supports PETA!
Veena Malik, the Pakistani beauty who shot to fame with Bigg Boss, is the latest celebrity to go vegetarian, and support PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)! In a recent advertisement, Veena Malik proudly declares, 'I AM A VEGETARIAN', and also advises her fans to do themselves a favour by kicking their meat habit. This new advertisement has been specially designed to be released in October, which is celebrated as Vegetarian Awareness Month, around the world.
Veena says, “I feel better, I'm healthier and I have the satisfaction of knowing that my food choices also help protect animals and the environment.” Veena Malik won her first Lux Style Award in 2007, and went on to be one of the final six contestants in last year's edition of Bigg Boss. According to a recent UN report, a global shift towards a vegan diet is necessary to combat the worst effects of climate change. It also states that every vegetarian saves the lives of approximately 100 animals each year.
By supporting PETA, Veena Malik joins the list of celebrities like Lara Dutta, Shahid Kapur, Pankaj Advani, Anil Kumble, Amrita Rao, R Madhavan, Murali Karthik, Rahul Sharma, and Monica Dogra, who have all appeared in pro-vegetarian ads for PETA.
