Ashok Selvan who was last seen in Venkat Prabhu's adult comedy-drama, Manmatha Leelai, is gearing up for the release of his next outing, Hostel which is slated to hit the screens on April 28. Hostel is the official Tamil remake of the Malayalam comedy, Adi Kapyaare Kootamani which featured Dhyan Sreenivasan and Namitha Pramod in the lead roles. Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the female lead in Hostel that has Sathish, Nassar, Munishkanth Ramadoss, KPY Yogi, Krish, and others. Produced by R Ravindran under the banner of Trident Arts, the film has music composed by Bobo Sasii of Kulir 100 Degree fame, while Ragul has edited the film.

Praveen Kumar has handled the cinematography of this film which is directed by Sumanth Radhakrishnan of Sadhuram fame. Pradeep Dinesh has choreographed the stunt sequences. With just one more week there for the film's release, the makers have now unveiled the official trailer to hype up the expectations. The trailer is a mixed bag where some moments work and some don't. Ashok Selvan's vibrant performance is quite impressive while Priya Bhavani Shankar also brings to the table a cheerful act. The trailer could have been cut in a more intriguing fashion.

However, it looks like the film has got the potential to connect well with the youth audiences. Ashok Selvan has been in promising form with the success of Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal and Manmatha Leelai and let us hope that the form continues with Hostel as well. The trailer has been released on the official YouTube channel of Muzik 24*7 who owns the audio rights of the movie. Watch the trailer here:
