Wall-E on a winning streak!

Wall-E has been named one of the best movies of the year by yet another prestigious film awards board, The American Film Institute. The futuristic film about the clean-up robot has been awarded the Best Film of the Year by the AFI, just a week after getting the Best Film of The Year award by the Los Angeles Film Critics.

The other movies on the AFI’s top ten list include Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino, the Brad Pitt-starrer The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, the historical drama Frost/Nixon; Frozen River, the comic book adventure Iron Man, Harvey Milk's biography Milk, Wendy and Lucy and Mickey Rourke's The Wrestler. TV series to be honoured were The Wire, The Shield and The Office.

The winners will receive their awards at a luncheon to be held next month.
